Issues with 2degrees mobile self-service and app continue – free mobile calls and texts to NZ & Australian mobiles and landlines extended

2degrees mobile customers who need to top-up, buy a value pack or pay their bill should visit the service status update on the home page of the 2degrees website www.2degrees.nz

Our online store and mobile App will not be available today. We are working to resolve issues and make them simpler to use. As a result, we expect long wait times in our call centre today, so our website is the best place to go for information.

2degrees Chief Executive Stewart Sherriff says the free calling and texts from 2degrees mobiles to New Zealand and Australian mobiles and landlines* announced yesterday has been extended until 6am on Tuesday February 28th, for all customers.

“Our system upgrade last week is still causing issues for customers, which we apologise for. There are ways for customers to top up, buy packs and pay your bill and they’re detailed on the service status update on the home page of our website,” says Mr Sherriff.

Mr Sherriff appreciates that some customers already have unlimited calling and texting in their plan. This is a goodwill gesture aimed at ensuring customers who have not managed to top up can continue to talk and text.

The issues follow an upgrade of 2degrees’ internal systems last week. Although contacting 2degrees and using its self-care systems for mobile has been a challenge for customers, its national mobile and broadband networks are not affected and continue to carry calls, texts and data.

“I want our customers to know we’re sorry for the delays they’ve been experiencing and assure them we have had teams working all hours to fix things. We’ll provide updates as soon as we have them.” He says.
