2degrees invites Kiwis to put its network to the test with a free 7-day eSIM trial
New Zealand telecommunications company 2degrees is inviting Kiwis to experience its mobile network first-hand with a free 7-day trial using eSIM technology- no strings (and no SIM card) attached.
It’s the first time 2degrees has offered an eSIM trial, and they say it gives Kiwis the chance to test the 2degrees network for free on their own eSIM-capable device – with a healthy allowance of 15GB of data, 500 minutes of calling and 100 SMS for 7 days.
“We are so confident in our network that we want people to experience it for themselves,” says Mark Callander, CEO of 2degrees. “With digital eSIM technology, we’re making it easier than ever for anyone with an eSIM-capable device in New Zealand to try us out - no strings, no hassle, just seven-days to see just how good our coverage, reliability and speed really are.”
Signing up is simple: eligible users with a mobile service with another telco can activate their free eSIM online in minutes - no store visit or physical SIM card required. And because eSIM lets you run two numbers on one phone, you can test the 2degrees network without missing a single call or text to your usual number. It’s pretty clever tech!
“This trial is about backing ourselves,” says Callander. “We’re confident that once people try 2degrees, they’ll want to stay. Our network performance speaks for itself – now we’re just making it easier for Kiwis to experience it. And we look forward to them becoming customers and experiencing our great value and service too.
“All the main mobile networks in NZ win awards from overseas testing companies, and some spend mega bucks buying the licences to these awards and using them to promote their service. We think offering a non-strings attached trial is the best way to show off our network.”
The 2degrees Free 7-Day eSIM Trial is available to people in New Zealand who aren’t currently 2degrees customers and have a mobile service with another telco, until December 22th.
