TaaS in action
As part of the Ministry of Education’s Distance Learning Package during the Covid-19 lockdowns of 2020, 2degrees connected homes to its national broadband network.
With a combination of fixed broadband and fixed wireless connections, we were able to connect students with their teachers and classmates, helping bridge the digital divide and boost their learning.
We were also able to filter the content to ensure that learning from home was as safe as learning on the school premises. Given a 2dgrees network connection, parents and caregivers also had access to 2degrees WiFi Calling.
As always, our New Zealand-based call centre were on standby to help iron out any connectivity problems.
Our move to the TaaS agreement with 2degrees is a winning combination as it has helped reduce our costs. It’s simpler to administrate and, most importantly, we are getting an exceptional level of service at the same time.
