$60 Pay Monthly Plan price increase
In this article
Why is the price of my plan going up?
We’re always lifting the hood on our plans and services to look for better ways to keep our customers connected.
That’s why we’re making some changes to your Pay Monthly plan and packing in even more value. It’s all part of our fight for fair.
What is changing?
We want to make sure you’re getting the best value in town. Your 12GB plan data will be supersizing to a massive 24GB per month. That’s an extra 12GB Max Speed Data* per month, then Endless Data at reduced speeds^. It’s also changing by $5 per month, increasing from $60 to $65 per month.
When is it changing?
You’ll get your first extra 12GB of data from your first bill after 13 June, and your new price of $65 per month will start from your first bill after 11 July.
Does the price increase apply to all plans?
The $5 per month increase applies only to the $60 Pay Monthly plan, increasing to $65.
Can I change to another mobile plan?
Yes, you can change to another Pay Monthly plan. Browse through our mobile plans to see what’s available and would suit. You can change plans via our Mobile App, or online at Your 2degrees.
If I don’t want to pay more, can I cancel my plan?
We’d be sad to see you go but yes, you can cancel your plan. We understand that price increases can be tough, so if you decide to leave as a result, we will understand.
If you're thinking of cancelling your mobile plan, you'll need to give us a call on 200 from your 2degrees mobile, 0800 022 022 from any New Zealand phone, or +64 22 200 2000 from overseas.
If you terminate your existing plan or change to another plan at any time, you will be liable for all charges, including your monthly plan fee, up to your next billing date. For example, if you terminated your plan on 20 June and your billing date was 30 June, you’d be charged your monthly plan fee, and any other charges you incur, up to 30 June.
Have a read of our Pay Monthly Terms and Conditions, and check out this page if you have an interest-free phone with us.
Do I need to make any changes to my automatic bill payment?
If 2degrees have set up the automatic payment for you, via either Direct Debit or Credit Card payment, there’s nothing you need to do. When the time comes, we’ll automatically deduct the correct increased amount.
If you’ve set up an automatic payment directly with your bank, you’ll need to update the payment amount to include an extra $5, since we can’t do this on your behalf.
*Fair Use Policy Applies. ^Endless Data: Max speeds reduce to 1.2mbps after 24GB/month per person and hotspotting speeds may be reduced further during periods of network congestion. At reduced speeds you can mostly use your data on your phone the same as before but image quality, loading times and high-speed applications will be impacted. NZ data usage only.
