It’s time for a new SIM card
In this article
What is happening?
As technology advances and we upgrade our systems, some older technology SIM cards will no longer be supported on our network. If you are using one of these SIM cards, you would have received an email or an SMS from us advising you to replace your current SIM card with a new one before 24 October 2025. After this date, your current SIM card will no longer work and you will not be able to make calls, text or use data. You may also be at risk of losing your mobile number if you haven’t upgraded in time.
How do I get a new SIM card?
Getting a new SIM card is easy – simply show the email or SMS you received, plus two forms of ID (including a valid photo ID) at any 2degrees store, and they will be able to assist you in getting a new SIM card.
