Apple Quick Transfer

Quick Transfer lets you move your SIM from your old device to your new one.

If you're transferring an eSIM from a different brand of device, converting your current physical SIM to an eSIM, or switching from another mobile provider, you'll need to visit your nearest 2degrees store to complete the transfer. This process may take up to 2 hours.

Note: Quick Transfer only works between iPhones or between iPads. Transfers between iPhone and iPad (or vice versa) aren't supported.

Before you start:
  • Sign in to your Apple Account on both devices
  • Make sure your previous iPhone:
    • has been unlocked with the passcode
    • is nearby with Bluetooth turned on
    • is using iOS 18.5 or later
    • has your active 2degrees plan on the SIM (it doesn’t matter if it is an eSIM or a pSIM)

Note: If you don’t have access to your current iPhone, please head in to your nearest 2degrees store to transfer your eSIM.

Transfer from physical SIM to an eSIM in my current device

If you have an older model iPhone, or a phone on a different operating system, you’ll need to transfer your old pSIM to an eSIM via an eSIM swap. This process can take up to 2 hours to complete. Head in-store and our team will be able to get you set up.

Can I reuse a QR code once it has been scanned?

The QR code can be scanned to download the eSIM profile using the same device that performed the initial eSIM profile download. It cannot be used on a different device.

Handy tip: We recommend that you store the QR code for your eSIM in a handy place so that you can easily find it in future if you need to download the eSIM profile again.
