$19 Prepay Plan price increase

What’s changing and when?

Our $19 Monthly Prepay plan was retired in November 2025 and is no longer available to purchase for new customers. For existing customers still on the $19 Monthly Prepay plan, this is being retired from 10 April. This means, unless you change plans, your next renewal from 10 April will be on our new $20 Monthly Prepay plan.

For $1 more per month, the $20 Monthly Prepay plan includes:

  • 2GB of data (an extra 500GB up from 1.5GB)
  • Unlimited mins to NZ / Aussie (up from 200 mins)
  • Unlimited texts to NZ / Aussie

Why is my Prepay plan changing?

We’re always lifting the hood on our plans and services to look for better ways to keep our customers connected. That’s why we’re making some changes to our $19 Monthly Prepay plan and tailoring it to match the evolving needs of our customers. It’s all part of our fight for fair. And, with the flexibility of 2degrees Prepay, if this new plan isn’t for you, there’s bound to be another plan to suit. You can check out all the new plans here.

If I don’t want to pay more, can I change my Prepay plan?

Yes, you can always change your Prepay plan. Browse through our Prepay plans here to see what’s available and what may suit you better. You can change plans via our mobile app and online via My 2degrees. Keep in mind, if you change plans mid-way through your monthly cycle, you will not be entitled to any refund of charges paid for that month.

If you have a $19 Monthly Prepay plan that is set to auto renew, make sure you stop the plan automatically renewing in the 2degrees App or by texting STOP 19plan1M to 233 before purchasing your new plan.

Do I Need to Make Changes to my Automatic Payment Prepay Top Up?

You may have one of these automatic payments or top-ups set up on your current Prepay plan - Autopay, Automatic Top Up, or Monthly Automation Top Up.

Autopay: If you have Autopay set up, you don’t need to do anything. Your Credit/Debit card will be charged your new plan cost of $20 per month. More information on Autopay can be found here.

Automatic Top Up (Low Balance): If you have Automatic Top Up set up, check that the specified amount you currently have topping up your plan automatically when your balance goes below $2.50, is enough for your new $20 Prepay plan. Check out Auto Top Up here.

Monthly Automatic Top Up: If you have Monthly Automatic Top Up set up, check that the top up amount available is now $20. See information on Monthly Auto Top Up here.
