What is Wireless Starter and Wireless Essential Broadband?

Wireless Broadband is delivered over our 4G and 5G mobile network. Unlike old-fashioned copper cables or fibre cables in the ground, Wireless Broadband is beamed straight to your modem via our robust 4G and 5G networks. The same network we use to connect our mobile phones.

Is Wireless Broadband simpler to set up?

Absolutely. Unlike a fibre connection, you no longer have to wait for an installation. Once you get your Wireless modem, just plug it in, switch it on and connect your devices.

Why is there a data limit on the Wireless Starter Plan?

To support customers who only use a small amount of data each month. If you need more than 100GB of data each month, we recommend upgrading to our Wireless Essential Plan.

Will the available data be enough for my needs?

It depends. If you need to connect a few devices to the internet for basic browsing, checking email, and the occasional video streaming or video calls, our 100GB plan should get you through the month. You can also upgrade to our Wireless Essential Plan with Unlimited data if you need more. But if you need the internet to handle multiple devices simultaneously running high-intensity stuff (4K video, gaming, loads of hi-def livestreaming etc.), you should go with one of our fibre plans.

Can I get a landline with Wireless Starter or Wireless Essential broadband?

Currently, we don’t offer a landline with any of our Wireless broadband plans. If you need a landline, we recommend exploring our fibre plans.

What is Wireless 5G Max Broadband?

Wireless 5G Max broadband is delivered over our 5G mobile network. Unlike old-fashioned copper cables or fibre cables in the ground, 5G wireless broadband is beamed straight to your modem via the nearest 5G cell tower just like your mobile phone.

Is 5G Wireless broadband simpler to set up?

Absolutely. Unlike a fibre connection, you no longer have to wait for an installation. Once you get your 5G Wireless modem, just plug it in, switch it on and connect your devices.

Is there a data limit?

Our Wireless 5G Max Broadband Plan offers unlimited data. However, since Wireless 5G Max runs on our 5G network, Fair Use Policy applies.

Unlimited broadband does what it says on the tin. With this plan you never have to worry about running out of data during the month. Even if you have multiple devices simultaneously running high-intensity stuff (4K video and gaming, loads of hi-def livestreaming etc.). Fair Use Policy applies.

What is the difference between Unlimited and Ultimate Unlimited?

In a nutshell, speed. Think of Fibre as a fast car and Mpbs the max speed at which you can drive it.

What’s the difference between Hyperfibre and Ultimate Unlimited Fibre Broadband.

In a word, speed. While our Ultimate Unlimited Fibre Broadband delivers 882/495Mbps peak time average speeds, Hyperfibre delivers speeds of up to 4Gbps. For reference, 1Gbps is a whopping 1000Mbps. You do the math.
