How to top up your Prepay mobile account
Topping up your Prepay account is super easy! The quickest way to top up is by using the 2degrees App. You can also top up online, buy a voucher and top up by text, top up by phone, set up an Auto Top Up, or even top up someone else’s account. The minimum top up is $10, and once you add funds to your Prepay credit, it lasts for a whole year—yep, that’s an entire 365 days from the purchase date!

How to top up with the 2degrees App
Here’s a quick list of steps for topping up using the 2degrees App:
- Download the 2degrees App available on the App Store or Google Play.
- Log in to your account.
- Tap the "Top Up" button.
- Choose your top-up method: Card, Online EFTPOS, or Voucher.
- Enter the number you want to top up. The app should automatically fill this in with your own prepaid number or let you pick from your contacts.
- Select the amount to top up (if using Card or Online EFTPOS).
Card Top Ups through 2degrees App
Saved card: If you have topped up before and saved a card to your account it’ll be listed under “Card details”. You can choose to use the same card again and select “Top Up”
Save a new card: New here? Choose “Save new card” and follow the link to register. Please note there will be a $1 charge to verify your card but this will be reversed within a few days.
Pay with a new card: If you don’t want to save your card details or just want to use this card as a one off, select the “pay with new card” option then select “Top Up”. You’ll be redirected to Paymark to enter in the card details, these details won’t be saved.
Using Online EFTPOS to top-up a Prepay mobile
Online EFTPOS is a quick and free payment option that allows you to top-up your Prepay mobile straight from your bank account. It’s safe and secure and lets you use your Internet banking to make a one-off payment. There are no fees and you don’t have to register – simply follow the prompts.
If you’re with one of the following banks, you can use Online EFTPOS to top up your 2degrees prepay:
- ASB
- ANZ
- BNZ
- Westpac
Kiwibank, TSB or SBS banks are unable to support Online EFTPOS currently. Alternative payment channels noted above are available, and there’s no surcharge for using debit or credit cards to top-up a Prepay mobile account.
Online EFTPOS doesn't require you to enter bank logins or passwords.
Voucher Top Ups through 2degrees App
Buy a Top Up voucher from one of over 600 locations. Pop into your nearest 2degrees store, or look for our logo at your local dairy, supermarket or petrol station.
You’ll find the voucher code printed at the bottom of your receipt. All you need to do is enter the voucher number then select Top Up and you’re good to go!
How to top up online
Top up online now using the handy Top Up tool on our website. You can top up using a credit or debit card. If you’d rather go straight for a plan or add-on instead, that works too!
Top up with the BNZ App
If you’re a BNZ customer, simply download the BNZ App from the App Store or Google Play and you can top up directly from your bank account. It’s super simple!
Top up via Auto Top Up
Never stress about running out of credit again with Auto Top Up! Just set it up in My 2degrees, and you’re good to go. It’s an easy way to keep your Prepay plan—or a friend’s—topped up every month without lifting a finger!
